Meet Aka!

Meet Aka, a stunning Golden Retriever whose name means Shadow in Hawai’ian.

Aka is a lovable goofball who loves meeting every living thing he possibly can! He is crate trained, potty trained, rides well in a car, and has caught on to tricks really well. His foster family have taught him sit, come, paw, beg, and the word crate.

Aka lovesssss to shred stuffed toys so make sure to keep plenty on hand! Otherwise, he is an incredibly laid back boy who will happily kiss you to death or cuddle up next to you on the couch.

Aka loves other dogs but prefers them to be about medium energy level as he is also super lazy and when he is tired, he prefers to lay down on his own. He loves going on walks with his people and much like his namesake will absolutely become your shadow.

Aka is around 3 years old and weighs 57lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

Aka has slightly reduced eyesight in both eyes. He has had bloodwork done and the eyes have been stained, through which we have learned that he is completely healthy, but the eye issues are permanent. Adopters must be aware of this condition and willing to meet his needs. His foster mom has suggested "Doggles" to help with the light sensitivity that he experiences in his eyes.

Aka is the happiest sweetest boy on the planet. He will try to jump in your arms for a cuddle or to give a kiss. He is ready for a loving forever home, could that be you?
