Meet Angie!
Meet Angie! This delightful 11-month-old black lab girl is as sweet as can be, with a zest for life and an eternally happy personality.
Angie is a beautiful, playful girl who brings happiness to her humans and doggie siblings alike. Her foster family love how much she enjoys life. She wakes up every morning happy and ready to go! Her joy is contagious.
Angie’s favourite activities include wrestling with her doggie siblings in the yard, playing with sticks and toys, and receiving pets and attention from her humans! She has even perfected the art of asking for attention by pawing at her humans and asking for lovings! She will sometimes give gentle kisses too, but she’s not the type to lick your face off!
Angie loves everyone, she doesn’t have a shy bone in her body! She is happy-go-lucky and easy-going. We think that she’d love to join her forever family wherever they go, be it for walks (although the leash training is a work-in-progress!), to breweries, to restaurants, or even just to run errands! She is the perfect “take-with” dog.
Angie loves kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is curious about cats. She has lived with cats in her foster home and has learned to ignore them (she used to try and play with them). In fact, one of the cats in her foster home absolutely loves her and tries to spend as much time in her presence as possible, and Angie is very good with her.
Angie is almost 1 year old (born in December 2023) and weighs around 50lbs. We don’t imagine that she has much more growing to do. Angie is completely potty trained and is also crate trained. Angie’s foster family no longer use the crate at night or when they leave Angie at home, she is trustworthy and doesn’t get up to mischief when left alone. Her foster family have a swimming pool, but Angie hasn’t ever felt the need to try and get in! She mostly ignores it.
If you are wondering what Angie is wearing on her front leg, it’s a brace. Sadly, when she was just a little puppy, she was hit by a car. This resulted in one of her front legs being twisted. The rescue has been carefully following the advice of several trusted vets, and we have seen improvement in her leg through the use of the brace. The rescue would work closely with her adopter on the continued improvement of her mobility and financially assist with her continued recovery, if necessary.
Despite her injury Angie is happy, playful, painfree, and adventurous. We are hopeful to find this girl a perfect home where she can continue to heal fully and live her best life!
Angie’s ideal home will have lots of room for her to run and play. She has a lot of energy and would enjoy lots of play time and walks. We think that she’d love hiking! She would also do best with another dog to play with. Angie would make the perfect addition to any loving home! Apply to adopt her today! She will bring endless love and joy to your home.
Angie is being fostered in Austin, TX and is adoptable throughout Texas.
