Meet Clementine!

Meet our beautiful senior miniature poodle, Clementine.

At 10 years old, Clementine is looking for a special home where she can enjoy her remaining years in peace and comfort! Despite her age, our vet thinks she still has many years left in her and her foster mom does too!

Clementine was rescued from being attacked by other dogs, where she suffered multiple lacerations. She had several large mammary masses (which were successfully removed), and her eyes were severely dried out and completely scabbed over (her eyes continue to require 2 different medications and may eventually have to be removed completely). She cannot produce tears at all, so it is very important to keep the eyes as healthy as possible, through eye lubrication and gentle face wiping with a wet cloth to help clean her eye area. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she was horribly infested with parasites and heavily matted. It must have been awful for her. Thankfully, Clementine has spent several months in foster care, and we know that she is feeling the best that she’ll have felt for a LONG time.

Clementine is a happy girl who loves to get pets from her foster mom. She is a typical poodle, who enjoys rubbing her face on her person, on her bed, and whatever surface she’s on-because that’s a poodle’s way of showing that they’re happy.

Clementine lives with several other dogs, and she does great with them. She isn’t able to engage in much playtime since she could easily get injured, but she enjoys chilling out and sleeping near her friends. She lives with cats in her foster mom and doesn’t bother them!

Clementine will happily enjoy supervised time in the yard and snuggled up on the couch with her family. She is a poodle, requiring regular and consistent grooming where her coat is long enough. She will have to learn the layout of wherever she ends up and she will help navigating her environment at times.

If you have space and love in your home and your heart for this special little girl, apply to adopt her today!

Clementine is being fostered in Round Rock, TX and is only adoptable in Texas at this time.
