Meet Daffodil!

Introducing Daffodil, an 8-week-old chihuahua mix who currently weighs around 7lbs. Daffodil was born in the care of our rescue, and she has only ever known love and happiness. Her mom is a 14lbs chihuahua/terrier mix with wiry fur and a heart of gold, baby daddy is unknown.

This sweet girl is the first-born puppy of her litter, and you can tell! She has shown a willingness to try new things, cautiously confident and determined. She was the first to lap up soft puppy food when offered, first to drink water from the water dish, and first to really enjoy those first bits of dry kibble when it was time to transition to solids.

Daffodil loves playing with her Kong toys and loves cuddling up with her siblings after a tiring play session. She loves human touch and is content to be held and snuggled. Her velveteen fur and expressive puppy dog eyes will melt your heart as she waits with anticipation to see what new things she’ll be trying next! She’s good at assessing situations, like when her three siblings are wrestling. She decides if she’ll join in with exuberance, or if she’ll continue assessing quietly from the sidelines.

Daffodil is too young to have tried the leash and, of course, hasn’t really started potty training yet. She is used to sleeping in a pen with her siblings. She is at the perfect age to start learning about the world!

Daffodil is adoptable throughout New England.
