Meet Howard—affectionately known as Howie—a gentle, soulful pup with a heart full of love and a calm presence that feels wise beyond his 5 months.

At 35 pounds, this Lab * Dobie mix is the kind of puppy who enjoys the simple things: cuddles on the couch, soft pets from his favourite humans, and just being close to the people he loves. He happily romps around with his siblings like any playful pup, but he always circles back to settle in with the kids or adults nearby, quietly soaking up affection.

Howie LOVES kids, excitedly greeting his 3 human foster siblings when they come in from school. His cuddly nature and calm demeanour make him an excellent companion for kids and adults alike.

Howie is a smart boy who already understands basic commands. His intelligence and eagerness to connect make him a quick learner, and he’s well on his way to becoming an amazing lifelong companion. He’s great with kids, gets along with other dogs, and has a mellow temperament that makes him an easy fit for a variety of homes.

Howie is crate trained and potty trained, even letting his foster family know when he needs to go out to potty! He doesn’t have much leash experience, but with his intelligence and willingness to please, he’ll be a quick study! He is very adaptive and will fit into any family. He’s great at following instructions, albeit that he is a puppy and sometimes forgets to use his brain!

Howie is currently being fostered in Leander, Texas, and is available for adoption in both Texas and the Northeastern states.
