Meet Max!
Max is an 8-year-old Old English Sheepdog with a heart as big as his fluff. This sweet old soul who weighs around 71lbs was rescued from horrendous neglect in the Rio Grande Valley, on the border of the US and Mexico, and he’s ready to settle into a loving, forever home where he can enjoy his golden years.
Max’s calm, gentle temperament is instantly endearing. He’s affectionate with both kids and adults, and his favourite place to be is right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. He’s not one for high-energy activities; instead, he’d much prefer a leisurely stroll or a cozy nap in the sun.
Max’s easy-going nature makes him a perfect match for a quieter household where he can relax, unwind, and be a beloved companion. While Max may be on the lower end of the energy spectrum, he’s still got a playful spirit! You might catch him trotting around with a favourite toy or gently nudging you for some ear scratches and cuddles. Max’s ideal environment would include a soft, comfortable bed and lots of gentle affection.
Being a senior boy, Max’s adopters will need to be aware that he may have some extra medical needs. While he is mostly potty trained for number 1s, the number 2 potty training is still a work in progress. There is a chance that he was hit by a car as a younger dog, which may mean that he will not manage to become potty trained with number 2s.
If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who’s happiest when he’s close to you, Max is your guy. His gentle demeanour and old-soul charm make him a wonderful match for a home that values the simple joys of companionship. Apply to adopt Max today and let him fill your life with love and loyalty!
Max is being fostered in Lakeway, TX and is available for adoption in throughout central Texas and North Eeastern states.
