Meet Remy!
Introducing Remy, a gentle and loving boy who is looking for his forever home!
Remy is a 1-year-and-7-month-old German Shepherd mix weighing in at 60 pounds, who is ready to find his forever family! Remy is an intelligent, affectionate, and loyal companion who forms strong bonds with his people. True to his breed, he’s especially devoted to his family and loves being by their side. Remy is potty trained, gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys playing and wrestling with his foster dog siblings in the yard. He would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play, but he's also content relaxing indoors, often seen lounging by the window and watching the world go by. Remy also has an independent side and is perfectly happy spending time in his own space, just observing the world around him.
Remy is a quick learner who’s made impressive progress with his training. He knows commands like sit, stay, lay down, come, and paw, and he enjoys learning new things. Whether he’s playing outside or snuggling with his humans, Remy is a great companion. He also loves going for walks and does wonderfully on a leash, making him an ideal buddy for outdoor activities like hiking.
While Remy is great with other dogs, he’s not a fan of cats and would do best in a home without them. Additionally, due to his herding instincts, he may not be the best fit for a home with young children. While he would do just fine with children visiting the home he tends to be more focused on his family and can sometimes be a bit protective, which might not be ideal for small kiddos. Remy would be happiest with confident adopters who understand shepherd breeds and can provide structure and leadership.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and active dog who will be a devoted companion, Remy could be the perfect fit for you!
Remy is being fostered in Connecticut and is adoptable throughout the New England area.
