Meet Tommy!
Introducing Tommy, a beautiful, petite boy who is looking for a patient and loving forever family.
Tommy was one of over 100 chihuahuas rescued from a severe hoarding situation in Central Texas. Despite this awful start to his life, Tommy warms up to become a snuggly little shadow who will follow you around. He adores the company of other dogs too!
Tommy has spent his time in foster care learning new things and playing with all different types of toys. Once he gets over his shyness, Tommy is a snuggly, loving boy who enjoys pets and cuddles. His foster mom has helped him to improve his confidence, and we hope that his adopters will continue this great work!
Tommy loves his foster human but also loves hanging with his 2 canine foster brothers. He relies on his canine companions for extra confidence, particularly in new or unfamiliar environments. He isn’t at all fazed by his special needs foster brother’s wheelchair, he just appreciates his presence!
Timmy is around 18 months old and weighs a teeny 6.5 lbs. He will potty on pads and outdoors, but it does take him a little while to become comfortable enough outdoors to potty there. He would do great with a securely fenced in yard or in an apartment with a secure balcony/outdoor space. He has a low to moderate energy level and isn’t a demanding boy. He goes on outdoor walks on leash with his doggie siblings and his foster mom. This was a huge struggle for him to start with and he’s still working on his confidence on walks, but his progress has been phenomenal!!
If you have the patience and gentleness to adopt Tommy and help him to flourish, we’d love to hear from you!
Tommy is being fostered in Austin, TX and is adoptable in Central Texas.
